Let's face it, private guitar lessons are pricey! And not everyone has access to the best teachers. If you want to learn electric guitar online, consider checking into the different websites available for guitar instruction.
You have to be careful though because although there are a lot of sites to learn electric guitar online, they are all not the same. Some cater to beginners while other cater only to advanced players. As you can imagine, the best ones offer actual instruction, and not just lectures. They also have video lessons for whatever skill level you are currently at.
Also, if you've learned one technique already, than with online lessons, it's easy to skip ahead to lessons geared to your skill level.
If you are like me, maybe you haven't picked up your guitar for years but are feeling the itch. You know the drill - you hear your favorite song and start to think about playing that song. But then you pick up your guitar and think, "man this is too hard!"
This was me, and I bought tons of books and DVD's before turning to the Internet to learn electric guitar online. It is so much easier (and cheaper) than sitting there reading a book to learn.
What I figured out was that the cost to join one of the better sites was roughly 50 cents a day. I already spend $3 a day on coffee, so 50 cents was nothing. For 50 cents a day, I could be playing my favorite songs instead of just listening to them! And the cool thing is, you can learn on your time from anywhere you have an internet connection.
Most of the sites also allow you to print out a copy of the lessons for reference, allowing you to keep it should you discontinue their service. The better sites will also have a huge chord and music library available for members.
Another added bonus is that almost all of the sites offer some sort of free lessons so you can try them out before you commit.
So whether you live in New York City or on a ranch in the middle of South Dakota, you can learn electric guitar online at your pace and on your schedule. - 40730
