Movie Review: Repo Men Should Be Repossessed From The Cinemas

By Shaz Ferouz

Now I like Judd Law and Forest Whitaker the two main characters in the movie, what I didn't like was everything else. Based in the year 2025 an evil company has found a way to make any kind of artificial organ. So the general story in a nut shell is that if you can't pay up the "Repo Men" will come sedate you and well, repossess it. The whole movie was bad from the weird plot, to the unnecessary gore and lame plot twist.

It fails as a believable science fiction and generally just fails. This movie is all over the place and couldn't decide what it wanted to be. It fails as a dark comedy. It fails as an action movie.

Unrealistic and then some. So these people that get their organs repossessed and die from bleeding, um, nobody ever wondered what happened to them? I mean according to this movie a lot of people get their organs repossessed. Which means a lot of unusual deaths with people missing their organs. Nobody found this a little strange and maybe put 2 and 2 together?

They introduced the flash back gimmick out of nowhere just to make a predictable plot twist work. The plot twist by the way had very little to do with the movie. At the end you will be wondering what exactly was it that you just watched. It's like when a little kid starts drawing a plane then forgets why, then starts drawing a house then suddenly thinks that instead of a dog, a crocodile should be playing fetch in the backyard. By the time you get the drawing you're not really sure what you're looking at as they have nothing to do with each other.

This movie blows and I'm not even sure if I would watch it for free if it comes out on TV. In fact I kind of want my 1 hour and 51 minutes back.

My Movie Review rating is 1.0/5.0 - 40730
